Channel Manager USA - Job Description

Countercraft is seeking a Channel Manager to be responsible for managing all Channel Sales aspects of the company's business within the USA. Create and drive an ecosystem of channel partners who contribute to new business growth and customer retention across the USA. Success in this role is dependent on the ability to implement and manage an effective channel strategy. 


You will center your role on relationship management to achieve measurable results in increased revenue, market share, and depth within each partner sales team. You’ll be supporting Enterprise sales segments and working within all levels of large partner organizations and possess a commitment that focuses on developing partnerships based on the long term, “outcome where everybody wins” strategy. 


In addition, this role is also responsible for developing commercial relationships with strategic/technical alliance partners.


  • Build effective channel business plans that drive partner alignment, enablement and demand generation
  • Develop and execute business plans driving all aspects of the partner relationship to maximize growth opportunities and ensuring the partner is well-positioned to deliver successful customer implementations and recommendations
  • Design a compelling value proposition that inspires partners to promote our solutions
  • Provide clear and consistent communication across the segment with your dedicated partners to build strong partnerships throughout your assignment
  • Lead regular business performance and relationship reviews with senior management and various stakeholders
  • Build and maintain the activity of performance reports
  • Work to build strong, productive relationships with existing partners, recruiting and onboarding new partners, and focusing on growing new business opportunities within each partner.
  • Work closely with field marketing to deliver marketing events/programs/campaigns that create interest and awareness among partners’ customers.
  • Experience building and executing joint business plans with measurable success.
  • Demonstrable history of setting financial goals with focus partners and achieving
  • Validate that partners are meeting the training and support requirements of the partner program
  • Own, develop and execute the USA strategy for channel sales growth and customer retention
  • Work with Marketing to prepare and maintain sales/marketing collateral for partners and to design and build programs for new partner acquisition
  • Work cross functionally with product management and technology offices in developing technology partnerships and aligning the channel program with the technology ecosystem.



  • Experience in channel management supporting the Enterprise sales team
  • Experience in Channel Management within the enterprise software ecosystem and/or security industry
  • Understanding of channel operating models
  • Knowledge of sales, marketing, and solution development
  • Consistent track record of leading complex sales situations through negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of high-tech channel sales experience in an enterprise sales environment.
  • A proven track-record of driving continued partner growth and revenue.
  • Deep knowledge of VAR channels with extensive relationships.
  • Ability to drive influence and build effective relationships with decision makers across all levels of partner organizations.
  • Strong working knowledge of the cyber security space.
  • Experience with the Commercial and US Federal partner programs
  • Experience building and launching partner programs


  • Motivated and focused self-starter with strong leadership skills who can multitask, work independently or within a team.
  • Exceptional communication skills including listening, writing and public speaking.
  • Can work in a fast paced, start-up environment.

Salary Range: Variable depending on experience - Possibility of participation in stock option plan.


Travel Requirements: Complete availability as required (COVID permitting)
