Software QA Engineer - Job Description

Create and implement a strategy for quality coordination and testing of CounterCraft’s product and cloud services as well as suggesting solutions to identified quality problems, working shoulder to shoulder with the development team.


Job Brief

We are looking for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to design and lead our Software QA process.

As part of our goal of releasing a top quality product we are in the process of splitting QA duties from development. In order to do so we are looking for a high skilled, high experienced Software Engineer with experience in doing Software QA.

You will be in charge of designing and building our Software QA environment following best practices on DevOps and Software QA.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build QA environment
  • Create test plans
  • Code automated tests
  • Document test cases
  • Record test progress and results
  • Develop standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness
  • Discover bugs within software
  • Drive innovation and streamline overall testing processes
  • Identify, isolate, and track bugs throughout testing
  • Identify any potential problems that users might encounter
  • Perform manual and automated testing
  • Research and analyze product features being tested
  • Research new tools, technologies, and testing processes
  • Review user interfaces for consistency and functionality
  • Perform and document risk analysis


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Software Engineer (4+ years)
  • Proven experience on DevOPS (3+ years)
  • Proven experience with Linux and Docker (3+ years)
  • Proven experience as a QA Engineer (1+ years)


Good to have



  • SQL, Golang, C, C++, Java, Python, TypeScript


Skills & Competencies


  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Clear and accurate written and verbal communication
  • Time management skills


Languages: English (B1), Spanish



Commitment: Full Time Role

Location: San Sebastian, Spain (negotiable for exceptional candidates)


Salary Range: Variable depending on experience - 25k€ - 40k€ - Possibility of participation in stock option plan.
