SHORT DESCRIPTION

At BETBY, our team is responsible for building, managing and maintaining secure, robust and scalable infrastructure to run our prod & beta/test/dev environments and core services using DevOps principles. This includes provisioning, configuring, and monitoring servers for on-premise Proxmox and Kubernetes clusters, databases and networking components, as well as managing cloud infrastructure hosted within AWS.


 

As a part of our Infrastructure team you will be responsible for managing and responding to infrastructure-related requests from various departments and business units, monitoring key metrics of infrastructure components and services, organizing user accesses, managing IT assets, and overseeing regular maintenance and upgrade activities. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Request Management — act as the primary point of contact for infrastructure-related inquiries and support requests from internal teams in Slack. Evaluate, prioritize, and resolve/troubleshoot technical issues (hardware, software, connectivity and etc.) in a timely and efficient manner. Collaborate with other teams and vendors to address complex issues.
  • Infrastructure Monitoring and Maintenance — track and analyze key infrastructure and application metrics to ensure systems are performing optimally. Identify potential issues or trends, perform the necessary maintenance activities or escalate them for resolution. Provide regular reports on infrastructure health and utilization.
  • Access Management — organize, manage and audit access rights to various systems, ensuring compliance with company policies and security protocols. Coordinate with team leads and management to grant or revoke user access as needed. Maintain accurate records of access levels and changes.
  • Asset Management — maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses. Track asset lifecycles and recommend replacements or upgrades as needed.
  • Maintenance and Upgrades — plan, schedule, and perform regular maintenance of IT systems, including servers, networks, and software. Document maintenance schedules, activities, and outcomes for transparency and reporting. Control and manage data backup processes and workflows.
  • Documentation and Process Improvement — develop and maintain clear documentation for infrastructure processes, tools, and workflows to empower users to resolve issues via self-service and prevent issue recurrence, reducing dependency on the Infrastructure team. Create new documentation for internal use that will serve as our process guides, maintain registries of assets in order. Moreover propose and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and reliability of infrastructure support operations and improve the overall user experience.
  • Ensuring compliance with IT policies and standards, including data protection and information security.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, technical support, or a related role;
  • Experience with Linux-based operating systems, experience with Debian-based systems would be a plus;
  • Experience with shell command line usage and basic scripting;
  • Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware, KVM, VirtualBox and etc.;
  • Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Firewalls and the ability to troubleshoot network settings;
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes/Swarm would be a plus;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to details;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
