At BETBY, our team is responsible for building, managing and maintaining secure, robust and scalable infrastructure to run our prod & beta/test/dev environments and core services using DevOps principles. This includes provisioning, configuring, and monitoring servers for on-premise Proxmox and Kubernetes clusters, databases and networking components, as well as managing cloud infrastructure hosted within AWS.

We are looking for a highly skilled Network Systems Engineer to take ownership of our hybrid networking infrastructure. You will manage and scale a complex environment which consists of a Linux-based routing stack (BIRD, OSPF/BGP, ECMP, IPsec) and cloud-based virtual networks (AWS VPC), and you will be responsible for ensuring high availability, security through microsegmentation, and the automation of our network provisioning and monitoring. • Routing & Traffic Management: Deploy, maintain and optimize our Linux-based routing stack, ensure fault tolerance and security.
• Virtualization Networking: Manage network configurations on Proxmox hosts, including the automation and maintenance of LACP bonds, Linux bridges, VLAN tagging and etc.
• Hybrid Cloud Connectivity: Design, deploy, and maintain secure connectivity of our on-premise bare-metal clusters with Cloud resources (VPCs) and across multiple data centers.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate the deployment of network configurations (bonding, interfaces, BIRD configs) to ensure consistency across the fleet and reduce manual intervention.
• Security & Microsegmentation: Implement and refine firewall rules/security groups to maintain strict microsegmentation and protect internal assets.
• Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor interface throughput, latency, and routing stability. Troubleshoot complex L2/L3 issues in a multi-DC environment.
• Collaboration: Act as the primary technical point of contact for Datacenter teams regarding upstream VLAN and switch port configurations. Act as the primary point of contact for network-related inquiries and support requests from internal teams. Evaluate, prioritize, and resolve/troubleshoot technical issues (connectivity, latency, performance and etc.) in a timely and efficient manner. Collaborate with other teams and vendors to address complex issues.
• Documentation and Process Improvement: develop and maintain clear documentation for networking infrastructure, processes, tools, and workflows to empower teammates to resolve issues via self-service and prevent issue recurrence. Create new documentation for internal use that will serve as our process guides, maintain registries of assets in order.
• Ensuring compliance with IT policies and standards, including data protection and information security.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, technical support, or a related role;
• Experience with Linux-based operating systems, experience with Debian-based systems would be a plus;
• Experience with shell command line usage and basic scripting, automation tooling (Ansible, Terraform);
• Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware, KVM, VirtualBox and etc.;
• Expert-level knowledge of Linux networking stack, including netlink, namespaces, performance tuning for high-speed interfaces (10G/25G), strong knowledge of LACP (802.3ad), VLAN tagging (802.1Q), bonding, OSPF/BGP, stateful firewalls (iptables/nftables) and VPN protocols, experience with the BIRD routing daemon is highly preferred;
• Hands-on experience with AWS networking (VPCs, Subnets, Route Tables, Security Groups) and Site-to-Site VPN (IPSEC);
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes would be a plus;
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to details;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
