BILLING AND AR ACCOUNTANT

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to take ownership of the invoicing and AR process across multiple entities and customers.

This is not a transactional invoicing role. You will be responsible for ensuring that commercial agreements, pricing structures, VAT treatment, and revenue recognition are accurately reflected in the accounting system.

You will work closely with Account Managers in monthly meetings to review commercial updates, contract changes, and new services, ensuring all changes are correctly applied in the invoicing system, while taking ownership of day-to-day billing and AR operations.

This role is perfect for someone with strong accounting fundamentals. You will primarily handle routine billing and AR tasks, and from time to time support ERP setup or process improvements, gaining insight into system transformation without it taking over your main responsibilities.

Billing & AR Ownership

• Act as the primary owner of monthly and daily invoicing across all entities and customers (with team support), including preparation of monthly, one-time invoices, etc.
• Monitor daily client payments and promptly resolve discrepancies in coordination with the bank, customers, or Account Managers.
• Participate in monthly meetings with Account Managers to review pricing updates.
• Read and interpret commercial agreements and accurately input contract terms into the internal back-office system to ensure all commercial updates are correctly reflected in invoices.
• Collaborate with Legal and Commercial teams when clarification of contractual terms is required.
• Manage AR control, send overdue reminders, and follow internal payment and debt collection policies.
• Support improvements in billing processes and internal systems, including migration to ERP.

AR Accounting & Analysis

• Apply VAT correctly across entities, where applicable.
• Understand and ensure the correct accounting treatment of deposits, revenue, VAT, and accounts receivable.
• Taking part in creating accounting entries related to AR in the ERP system (invoices, deposits, payments, credit notes etc).
• Taking part in AR analysis and preparation of necessary AR reports.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
• 1–3 years of experience in billing, AR, or similar role
• Good knowledge of accounting entries (deposits, revenue, VAT, AR)
• Ability to read commercial agreements
• Strong logical thinking and attention to detail
• English (Upper-Intermediate / Advanced)
• Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with other teams
