Key Responsibilities

1. Laptop & Hardware Maintenance

  • Diagnose and repair laptops, desktops, and related peripherals.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade hardware components.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all IT hardware.


2. Operating System & Software Management

  • Install, configure, and update Windows, Linux, and/or macOS operating systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve OS-related issues.
  • Ensure all devices comply with software licensing and security policies.


3. Network Management & Installation

  • Set up and configure LAN, WLAN, and VPN connections.
  • Install and manage network switches, routers, and access points.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Implement and enforce network security measures (firewalls, antivirus, access controls).


4. Server Room & Data Center Management

  • Monitor and maintain server room equipment (servers, UPS, cooling systems, racks).
  • Perform routine backups and recovery tests.
  • Ensure physical security and environmental controls for the server room.
  • Support server configuration, patching, and performance monitoring.


5. Technical Support & Documentation

  • Provide Level 1 & 2 IT support to users.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, repairs, and installations.
  • Train staff on IT equipment usage and security best practices.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support or system administration.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware repair, OS installation, and network management.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.


Preferred Certifications:

  • CompTIA A+ (Hardware/OS)
  • CompTIA Network+ or CCNA (Networking)
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator
  • ITIL Foundation (Service Management)


Working Conditions:

  • Office and server room environment.
  • Occasional after-hours or weekend work for maintenance and upgrades.
  • May require lifting and moving IT equipment.
