ABOUT THE ROLE

Crossian is a hyper-growth, technology-driven e-commerce business. Founded in 2020, we've scaled to over $100 million in revenue by 2024, growing at a CAGR of 1000%. We are redefining cross-border commerce through innovation, speed, and people. Behind this success is our belief in product-led teams, clear ownership, and an environment where high performers grow fast.

As we expand our platform across Storefront, Payments, Marketing Automation, CRM, and Ads, our Agile practice needs strong facilitation and delivery support. This is where you come in.

We are looking for a Junior Scrum Master who is not just process-minded but people-centered — someone who cares more about team and product outcomes than enforcing the Scrum textbook.

As a Junior Scrum Master at Crossian, you will support Agile teams in running effective Scrum practices and fostering collaboration. You’ll work closely with developers, Product Managers, and stakeholders to help the team stay focused, remove blockers, and continuously improve.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

We’re not just about building platforms; we’re about creating a workplace where talent thrives. Here's what you’ll gain:

Exceptional Compensation

  • Up to 30 months of salary per year through competitive salary packages and performance-based bonuses.
  • Total Annual income over $55,000, reflecting your expertise and contribution.

Growth Opportunities

  • Hands-on exposure to cutting-edge technologies and complex system architecture in a global-scale project.
  • Clear career advancement pathways and access to continuous professional development programs.

Global Vision

  • Contribute to projects that redefine how brands connect with consumers globally.
  • Opportunity to work on challenging problems in data analytics, customer engagement, and operational efficiency.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to keep the team aligned and productive.
  • Promote self-organization and team accountability while supporting the delivery of high-quality work.
  • Support the team in identifying and resolving impediments, escalating when necessary.
  • Help maintain Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and visualize team progress through dashboards and metrics.
  • Encourage open communication, psychological safety, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with mentors and senior Scrum Masters to grow your facilitation and Agile coaching skills.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Educational Background:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • A foundational understanding of Agile frameworks, especially Scrum, through coursework or practical exposure.
  • Scrum certifications, such as PSM I or CSM, are a plus and show a strong commitment to professional growth.

Professional Experience:

  • At least 1 year of experience supporting or working within Agile development teams, ideally in a Scrum or project coordination role.
  • Familiarity with Scrum events, roles, and artifacts, even if not yet practiced in a formal Scrum Master capacity.
  • Some exposure to working in a cross-functional team environment (Product Manager, Developer, QA, UI/UX) is preferred.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Comfortable using Agile project tools such as Jira and Confluence to manage tasks, maintain sprint boards, and document progress.
  • Basic ability to read and interpret delivery metrics such as velocity, burn-down, and burn-up charts with guidance.
  • Awareness of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and curiosity about how Agile principles support effective delivery.
  • Eagerness to learn best practices around team collaboration and delivery effectiveness (e.g., Definition of Done, backlog grooming).

Soft Skills:

  • Clear and respectful communication, both verbal and written — able to summarize discussions, track decisions, and clarify next steps in meetings.
  • Active listening skills — pays attention to what team members say and observes team dynamics with curiosity, not judgment.
  • Good facilitation instincts — knows when to encourage quiet voices, prevent over-talking, and keep the team focused on goals.
  • Collaborative and empathetic — values the team's shared success and brings a positive, supportive presence to daily work.

Growth Mindset & Cultural Fit:

  • Demonstrates a strong desire to grow as a Scrum Master and contribute to team performance, not just follow a process.
  • Proactively seeks feedback and learning opportunities — whether through retrospectives, mentoring, or training.
  • Aligned with Crossian’s culture of ownership, transparency, and team rituals.
  • Values psychological safety, embraces shared responsibility, and enjoys seeing others succeed through effective facilitation.
