ABOUT THE ROLE

Crossian is looking for a detail-oriented Senior level accountant to support the Accounting department with thought leadership, promote cross departmental process improvements and perform and review monthly close duties.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Accounting Compliance

  • Perform variety of month-end closing procedures including preparation and posting of journal entries according to U.S and VN GAAP Compliance.
  • Analyze financial statements accounts, identify unusual trends or erroneous entries and verify accuracy of transactions and balances
  • Evaluate and maintain asset and liability accounts


Business – Audit and Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with accounting, tax policies and procedures across all departments


Policies and Process Improvement

  • Develop and implement procedures to streamline monthly closings and other financial activities
  • Research A/R and A/P issues that flow through to the general ledger, assist in evaluating various effects of the interface between Accounting and system, interact with other departments as needed to resolve the root cause of any problems
  • Identify inefficiencies and propose solution to improve accounting processes and systems


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s of Accounting/Finance/Auditing or higher
  • At least 5+ years in Accounting/Auditing; candidates with a background as Senior General Accountant, Chief Accountant, or Senior/Manager Auditor are highly preferred.
  • Strong sense of ownership and proactivity is required to work independently and report directly to the CEO.
  • Solid accounting knowledge including VAS/IFRS or GAAP, US GAAP is highly desirable
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, knowledge of BI tools is an advantage
  • Strong critical thinking, and analytical skills, and problem solving abilities
  • Detail-oriented, highly focused, attention to detail
  • Think big, keen eye for process improvement and growth mindset
  • Experience in E-commerce, fast-growth retail, or international work environments
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts, attention to detail, and effectiveness in a high-pressure environment
  • English: Level Upper-intermediate
  • Experience in working with legal/tax authorities is an advantage
